What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
You do not have to provide your name, email address or website details to comment if you do not wish to.
You may have completed a contact form or previously subscribed to this blog. Subscribing means that you will receive an email every time that a new post is published on the site, your email will not be used for any other purpose or shared with anyone other than the site owner Stephanie Couch – A Cornish Mum and the subscription service via the Jetpack plugin.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have entered a giveaway or competition on this blog or via any of my social media platforms, you are automatically agreeing to potentially having your details passed on to a third party, purely for the purpose of prize fulfilment. Competition data will be deleted after 6 months. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for what the third party does with your personal data.
We are not responsible for the republishing of the content found on this blog on other websites or media without our permission.
In some limited circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain personal data, which might include yours, if we are involved in legal proceedings or complying with legal obligations, a court order, or the instructions of a government authority.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Competition data is deleted 6 months after the giveaway/competition ends.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. How we protect your data
This site is maintained with a security plugin and our passwords are secure. The site is also regularly scanned for virus’ and all plugins and additions to the site are kept updated with any security updates to protect this site and your data.
